Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee releases TTAADC manifesto, focuses on transparency and tribal rights

The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) on April 3 released its election manifesto for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council polls, focusing on transparency, tribal rights and overall development.

The manifesto was unveiled by Tripura Congress in-charge and MP Saptagiri Ulaka, along with TPCC president Asish Kumar Saha, MLA Birajit Sinha and other party leaders.

In the document, the party listed eight key focus areas such as ensuring transparent and accountable governance in the district council, protecting land and forest rights, improving education and skill development, boosting infrastructure, creating employment opportunities, and preserving tribal culture and identity.

Speaking at the event, Ulaka said the Congress is confident about winning the Dharmanagar by-election and added that the party has stepped up its campaign for candidate Chayan Bhattacharya. He mentioned that a bike rally and a major public meeting are being planned in Dharmanagar as part of the campaign efforts.

Ulaka also said that the Congress will contest the TTAADC elections in alliance with its partners, claiming that the party has always worked for the welfare of tribal communities.

He further criticised the BJP government, alleging that it has failed to meet key demands related to the district council and has instead tried to mislead the public. The Congress, he added, remains committed to strengthening the ADC and improving living conditions in tribal areas.
