Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended a road safety equipment distribution programme at the AD Nagar Police Ground on October 10, as part of efforts to strengthen traffic management and improve road safety across the state.
According to the Chief Minister, the state has spent ₹1.29 crore to procure various types of equipment to improve traffic management.
Saha said the newly procured equipment would help make traffic regulation more efficient and enhance road safety for commuters across Tripura.
He also emphasised the importance of raising public awareness about road safety, stating that sustained awareness campaigns and responsible road behaviour were essential to maintaining the positive trend of declining road accidents in the state.
The programme is part of the state government’s broader efforts to improve traffic management systems, promote road safety awareness and create safer roads for all.
