Mrunal Thakur Slams Online Trolls, Comes Out in Support of Katrina Kaif and Kriti Sanon

Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur has spoken out against social media trolling directed at Katrina Kaif and Kriti Sanon, urging people to respect their personal choices and recognise their professional achievements.

In an interview with PTI, Thakur questioned the criticism faced by prominent actresses despite their contributions to the entertainment industry.

“People who are judging all these iconic women, do we forget what amazing work they have done?” she said.

Highlighting the business ventures of both actresses, Thakur pointed out that their success extends beyond the film industry. She noted that Kriti Sanon and Katrina Kaif have established business ventures with a presence in markets beyond India.

“Be it Kriti or Katrina, they are running a business not just in India but everywhere… I think people should not comment on anyone else,” Thakur remarked.

Katrina Kaif recently faced online scrutiny following her appearance at the Ambani family’s Ganpati celebrations, with social media users reportedly making comments about her appearance and speculating about her pregnancy.

Kaif subsequently addressed the issue of online negativity at a London event for her beauty brand, Kay Beauty, saying that she would not allow social media commentary to paralyse her.

Thakur also observed that public judgement is not limited to women, although female celebrities have long faced intense scrutiny over their personal lives, appearances and decisions.

“Women are always judged,” she said, adding that men also face criticism in today’s digital environment.

Her remarks have once again drawn attention to the growing debate over online harassment, celebrity privacy and the need for greater respect on social media.
