The Government of Mizoram has withdrawn its earlier order to re-employ retired official R Lalrodingi as Director of the Tourism Department after objections were raised over the appointment, officials said on May 18.
Lalrodingi had earlier served as Additional Director in the Commerce, Industries, Geology and Mining Department and retired from service on April 30.
In an order issued on April 24, the state government had approved her re-employment as Tourism Director. She was also appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister from May 1.
Officials said the government has now cancelled the re-employment order. However, no detailed reason has been officially given for the decision.
