Prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders have increased across several cities from October 1, while the prices of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders have remained unchanged.
According to rates attributed to IndianOil, commercial LPG users in Delhi will now pay ₹2,810 per cylinder, up ₹62.50 from the September price of ₹2,747.50. In Mumbai, the price has increased by ₹63 to ₹2,764, while Chennai has witnessed a rise of ₹66.50, taking the price to ₹2,983.
Among the cities mentioned, Patna recorded the largest increase. The price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder there has risen by ₹71.50 to ₹3,100.50. In Lucknow, the revised price stands at ₹2,932.50, an increase of ₹62.50.
Commercial LPG prices have also been revised in other locations. In Leh, the price has gone up from ₹3,385.50 to ₹3,450. The new rate in Tawang is ₹3,073.50, while cylinders will cost ₹2,831.50 in Ahmedabad and ₹3,046 in Kanyakumari.
Domestic LPG Prices Unchanged
There has been no change in the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder in the cities cited. Consumers in Delhi will continue to pay ₹942 per cylinder, while the price remains ₹941.50 in Mumbai and ₹957.50 in Chennai.
In Lucknow, the domestic cylinder continues to cost ₹979.50, while consumers in Patna will continue to pay ₹1,031.50.
The latest revision is therefore primarily relevant to commercial establishments such as restaurants, hotels, catering businesses and other enterprises that depend on 19-kg LPG cylinders. Household consumers using 14.2-kg domestic cylinders will not face an increase under this revision.
Commercial LPG prices are periodically influenced by factors including international energy prices and currency movements. The latest increase comes at the beginning of the festive season, a period when demand from the food, hospitality and catering sectors generally rises.
