Four members of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) arrived in Assam on Wednesday as part of a visit aimed at engaging with the party’s state unit and its members.
The visiting National Executive Committee members have been identified as Ankit Bhardwaj, Akash Prem, Varun Agrawal and Anam. The delegation reached Guwahati as part of its scheduled visit to the state.
According to office-bearers of the CJP’s Assam unit, the party is set to organise its first volunteers’ meet in Assam on September 27. Members and volunteers from across the northeastern states are expected to attend the programme.
During their stay in Assam, the visiting leaders are expected to meet party workers and hold discussions with members of the state unit. They are also likely to interact with other stakeholders as part of their outreach activities.
The detailed schedule of the delegation’s programmes in Assam is yet to be announced.
The visit marks an outreach initiative by the CJP’s national leadership in the state, with the four National Executive Committee members scheduled to engage with party workers and volunteers during their stay.
