Central Bureau of Investigation arrests Renukai Chemistry Classes founder in NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested the founder of Renukai Chemistry Classes in Latur over his alleged involvement in the NEET-UG 2026 question paper leak case, officials said on Monday, May 18.

The accused has been identified as Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar. He was taken into custody after investigators reportedly found a leaked copy of the medical entrance exam paper on his mobile phone during searches carried out on Sunday.

According to officials, Motegaonkar is believed to be part of an organised network involved in leaking and distributing the NEET-UG question paper.

Investigators alleged that he worked with other accused individuals to obtain the question paper and answer key before the exam was held on April 23, 2026.

The leaked paper was then allegedly shared with multiple people, officials said.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the Central Bureau of Investigation has indicated that more searches and arrests could take place as the probe moves forward.
