Actor Rashmika Mandanna met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in Hyderabad on Sunday to personally invite him and his family to her wedding reception scheduled for March 4. Rashmika tied the knot with actor Vijay Deverakonda on February 26 in Udaipur.
The newlywed actor was accompanied by her family during the meeting. The Chief Minister’s wife, Geetha, was also present and blessed the couple.
Sharing pictures from the visit, Rashmika wrote, “Met the honourable Chief Minister of Telangana @revanth_anumula garu and Geetha garu and Nymisha! It was so lovely spending time with you and having those wonderfully sweet conversations!! Also thank you for the beautiful gift. I’ll pakka wear it for something super special (sic).”
Revanth Reddy also posted photos from the meeting and wrote that Rashmika, who recently married Vijay Deverakonda, had invited them to the wedding reception.
Earlier in the day, the couple visited the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams temple to seek blessings as they began their married life, in keeping with tradition.
Marking the occasion, their team distributed thousands of sweet boxes across 23 major cities, including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, sharing the celebration with fans across the country. Annadanam (sacred food distribution) was also organised at several temples.
A few days before their wedding, Rashmika and Vijay had met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to extend personal invitations for the ceremony.
