India Slams Islamabad Blast, Rejects Pakistan’s Blame Game

India on Friday condemned the suicide bombing at a mosque in Islamabad, offering condolences to the victims while firmly rejecting Pakistan’s attempt to attribute the attack to external elements.

In a statement issued on February 6, 2026, the government described the blast as “condemnable” and expressed sympathy for those who lost their lives and their families. It also said that instead of confronting the underlying problems within its own society, Pakistan continues to “delude itself by blaming others for its home-grown ills.”

New Delhi categorically denied any allegations directed at it, terming them “baseless” and “pointless.” The statement stressed that such accusations only distract from addressing internal challenges and do little to tackle the roots of violence.
