India Clinch 101-Run Victory in First T20 Against South Africa

India started the five-match T20 series against South Africa with a dominant 101-run win. The match was played at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha.

South Africa won the toss and opted to field first. Batting first, India posted 175 runs for the loss of six wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Hardik Pandya top-scored with an unbeaten 59 off 28 balls.

In reply, South Africa collapsed for just 74 runs in 12.3 overs, losing all wickets.
For India, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy and Axar Patel picked up two wickets each, while Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube claimed one wicket apiece.

With an excellent all-round performance, Hardik Pandya was named Player of the Match.
