The Dr. Bani Kanta Kakati Merit Award ceremony is being held today, featuring a large-scale scooter distribution event at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra. A total of 11,250 students will receive scooters, with the programme scheduled to begin at 11 AM in the presence of the Chief Minister. Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu will also attend the event. In all, 6,860 girl students and 4,390 boys are set to benefit. The award is meant for students who scored 80% or above in the Higher Secondary final examination.
