Anuj Agnihotri tops UPSC Civil Services Exam 2025; 958 candidates recommended

Anuj Agnihotri has secured the top rank in the Civil Services Examination 2025, the results of which were announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on March 6.

Rajeshwari Suve M stood second in the examination, while Akansh Dhull secured the third position, according to the Commission.

In total, 958 candidates have qualified and have been recommended for appointment to various central civil services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.

The Civil Services Examination is conducted every year by the UPSC in three stages — preliminary, mains and interview — to recruit officers for key administrative posts in the central government.

The Commission said that the candidature of 348 recommended candidates has been kept provisional.

As per the UPSC, the central government had earlier reported 1,087 vacancies to be filled through the 2025 Civil Services Examination.

The Commission also stated that a facilitation counter has been set up on its campus to assist candidates. Aspirants can seek information or clarification related to examinations and recruitment on working days between 10 am and 5 pm, either by visiting the counter in person or through the telephone numbers provided by the Commission.

UPSC further said that the marks obtained by candidates will be uploaded on its official website within 15 days from the declaration of the results.
