The event is scheduled to be held at the Badharghat International Fair Ground in West Tripura district. Officials said more than 3,000 delegates from the eastern, north-eastern and northern parts of the country are expected to attend.
The conference is aimed at strengthening coordination among different regions on the use of official languages. It will focus on sharing experiences, exchanging ideas and highlighting best practices in promoting official languages in administration and public communication.

On the occasion, the Home Minister is set to release a special North-East edition of the journal Rajbhasha Bharati brought out by the department. Two publications — Indian Languages and Official Hindi – Classic Works and Amritvani – Inspiring Sanskrit Verses of Timeless Value — will also be unveiled.
Around 80 awards will be conferred on individuals and organisations for their contribution to the promotion of official languages. In addition, exhibition stalls displaying initiatives and innovations related to official language implementation have been set up at the venue.
