A horrific accident occurred late at night at Yogighopa’s Bowalimari area, where a Bolero vehicle veered off the road and plunged into the Champawati river. One body has been recovered from the river, identified as Bokkar Ali of Kurshakati Naldoba in Chapar. Another person, Azhar Ali Mondal, is still missing. Two others — Akidul Islam and Jubbar Ali — were rescued alive. Police from Majer Alga and SDRF teams reached the spot immediately. There were four people in the Bolero at the time of the accident.
