Air India Frankfurt-Delhi Flight Diverted to Jaipur Following Hoax Bomb Threat

An Air India flight travelling from Frankfurt to New Delhi made an emergency landing at Jaipur International Airport on Wednesday morning following a bomb threat that was later confirmed to be a hoax, officials said. All passengers and crew members were reported safe.

Flight AI 2030, operated by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, landed in Jaipur at around 9.45 am. Jaipur is approximately 280 km from Delhi, the aircraft’s intended destination.

After the aircraft landed, security personnel approached it and initiated precautionary safety measures. Boarding ladders were positioned to facilitate the evacuation of passengers.

Passengers were permitted to disembark only after security personnel completed a thorough inspection of the aircraft. Officials subsequently confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax.

The threat prompted the flight to divert to Jaipur, disrupting its scheduled journey from Frankfurt to Delhi. Security agencies followed established protocols to assess the threat and ensure the safety of everyone on board before allowing passengers to leave the aircraft.

Air India said it was assisting passengers affected by the diversion. The airline is offering complimentary rescheduling or a full refund to passengers who opt to cancel their bookings.
