India Strongly Condemns Riyadh Airport Attack That Killed 12, Injured Over 300

India on Sunday, October 11, strongly condemned repeated attacks on Saudi Arabia’s King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, including an incident on October 10 that reportedly killed 12 people and left more than 300 injured.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) described attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure as “completely unacceptable” and called for an immediate halt to such hostilities.

“We strongly condemn the repeated attacks on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport over the past few days, including the dastardly attack on October 10, which have led to loss of lives, injuries and damage to property,” the MEA said in an official statement.

India also conveyed its condolences to the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

Saudi Arabia has blamed Houthi militants for the attack, amid heightened regional security concerns.

Reaffirming New Delhi’s support for Riyadh, the MEA said India stood in solidarity with the people and government of Saudi Arabia in defending the country’s sovereignty.

India also expressed hope that peace and normalcy would return to the region at the earliest.
