IndiGo Revises Fuel Charges Amid Rising ATF Costs

IndiGo has revised its fuel charges across domestic and international routes, with the new rates applicable to bookings made from 12:01 am on October 6, 2026.

The airline said the decision comes amid continued volatility in Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices, which have risen by more than 14% month-on-month amid geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

For domestic flights, the revised fuel charge ranges from Rs 375 for distances up to 500 km to Rs 1,300 for journeys exceeding 2,000 km. Charges for intermediate distance bands have been fixed at Rs 600, Rs 900 and Rs 1,150.

International fuel charges will vary by region. Flights to SAARC destinations will attract Rs 1,000 for distances up to 500 km and Rs 3,000 beyond that. A charge of Rs 5,500 will apply to Southeast Asia, the GCC and Middle East, and North and East Asia. The charge for Africa is Rs 6,000, while Europe will attract Rs 10,000.

IndiGo said the revised charges are a measured adjustment aimed at limiting the impact on passengers while addressing higher operating costs. The airline added that it will continue to monitor fuel prices and market conditions and make further adjustments if required.
