Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Mizoram on October 5 and is expected to inaugurate several projects, including initiatives under the state’s Cooperation Department, government officials said on Friday.
Officials said the detailed schedule for Shah’s visit has not been received yet, but preparations have already started across the state. During the visit, he is expected to inaugurate a number of projects being carried out through the Cooperation Department.
Meanwhile, Aizawl Deputy Commissioner Lalhriatpuia has issued an order restricting vehicle parking along the route from Lengpui to the Youth Recreation Centre in the Falkland area of Aizawl on October 5.
The order directed motorists to ensure that traffic movement is not affected along the designated route. Petrol pumps located along the route will also remain closed on October 5.
