Nitin Nabin’s dedication will strengthen BJP, says ex-Manipur CM Biren Singh

Former Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on January 20 said the appointment of Nitin Nabin as the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would give fresh momentum to the organisation and strengthen its presence across the country.

Congratulating Nabin on taking charge, Singh described the elevation of the Bihar leader as the start of a new phase for the party at the national level. He said Nabin’s leadership would further reinforce the BJP’s emphasis on organisational discipline and grassroots engagement.

According to Singh, Nabin’s dedication to the party, clarity in approach and close connection with workers on the ground would help energise the cadre and strengthen the BJP’s organisational structure nationwide. He extended his best wishes to the new president, expressing confidence that the party would continue to scale new heights under his leadership.

Referring to Nabin’s political journey, Singh said his rise from a five-time MLA from Bankipur in Bihar to becoming the first leader from the state to head the BJP at the national level reflected the confidence the party has placed in him. The progression, he added, was the result of consistent performance, organisational discipline and long-standing commitment to the party.

The former chief minister also noted that the BJP continues to function under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose guidance, he said, has played a key role in shaping the party’s organisational growth and governance approach.

Singh said Nabin’s appointment underlined the BJP’s focus on strengthening its organisation, maintaining clarity of purpose and expanding its reach across the country, adding that the party would move forward with renewed energy and resolve.
