Social media platform X faced a major outage on Tuesday, with users across multiple countries reporting trouble accessing the service, according to outage-monitoring site Downdetector.com.
In the United States, more than 22,900 users had reported issues by 9:19 am ET. The United Kingdom saw over 7,000 outage reports by 9:20 am ET, while Canada registered more than 2,700 reports.
Downdetector collects data from user-submitted reports, so the actual number of affected users may be higher.
X did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters.
