A youth arrested with a pistol in Silchar
Police in Silchar have arrested a youth after recovering an illegal firearm from his possession.
The arrested individual has been identified as Jamir Ahmed of Barkhala in Cachar district.
During the operation, police seized a 7.62 pistol along with four rounds of live ammunition from him.
Authorities are carrying out further investigation into the case.
